Principal Message

We are now well in to our school session 2017 - 18 and to be a pleasure and a privilege to be a part of the Apala Family.

I am fortunate enough to work with an amazing staff who are providing the best opportunities to all the special people in their care - and … that is exactly how it should be.

People who are in schools should be there because they want to make a difference.
I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference - to enable life chances and choices for our future generations and to equip our children with the qualities, skills, attitudes and knowledge to become great citizens and, in turn, make a difference, a positive impact, upon our our world.

At Apala we do not just talk about producing a ‘rounded’ child or a ‘broad and balanced’ curriculum - we have ed that and, to develop our practice to ensure we action this, through an on developing excellent reading, writing, speaking, listening, and ICT skills to apply in a variety of situations and in a of ways. These skills will enable our children to access further and to ‘achieve’ in every sense of the word. We provide an ‘allround’ education in order to develop an ‘all-round’ confident, competent content young person.

To be entrusted with your children, with our future, is a privilege that we take very seriously at Apala. Working in partnership with parents and carers is, therefore, extremely important for us. A commitment from home and school to work together to ensure that every child is given every opportunity to learn and blossom academically, socially, spiritually and morally is everyone’s responsibility and …. every child’s right.

Apala is a happy place to be but only because of a special atmosphere, a special ethos that is worked upon by staff, governors, parents and, most importantly . . . our Apala Children.
